Remember magnetic forces are non-contact forces and do not need to touch other magnetic objects affect them and make them move. Magnets have two poles, a North Pole and a South Pole. A North Pole will repel a North Pole and make the object move away A North Pole will attract the opposite South Pole and make the object move towards it Reference: https://keystagewiki.com/index.php/Magnetism

Remember if a push force is applied to an object the object will move in the same direction as the push. So if a push force is applied to the front of Johann's car, then Johann's car will move in the same direction as the push In this instance the push force is from the left so Johann and his car will move to the left - Johann and his car will go backwards.
